Disable Functions: Preferences

The radio buttons on the Preferences pane enable or disable functions on the Edit > Preferences menu of display emulation sessions.

Functions:

URL Hotspots
Displays URLs as hotspots.
Confirm on Exit
Prompts you to confirm that you want to end your session.
Color Remap
Changes the colors for a display session. Color Remap appears on the Edit > Preferences menu and on the toolbar of a session window.
Display Options
Allows fields to blink or not, and allows you to choose the color for blink fields of a display session. Display appears on the Edit > Preferences menu and the toolbar of a session window.
Keyboard Customization
If enabled, allows users to assign, unassign, or reset key mappings and add or remove custom functions in the Key Remap facility. If disabled, users will only be able to search for keys in the Key Remap facility.
Lock Numeric Field
Allows you to type only the characters 0 through 9, -, +, period, and comma into fields defined by a host application as numeric. Numeric Field Lock is available for a 3270 or CICS display sessions only and appears on the Edit > Preferences menu of a session window.
Toolbar Customization
Allows you to customize your toolbar.
Popup Keypad
Allows you to use and customize the popup keypad when you are running Z and I Emulator for Web on a Java 2 JVM.
Mouse Wheel
Allows you to use and customize the mouse wheel when you are running Z and I Emulator for Web on a Java 2 JVM which is version 1.4 or later.

Settings:

Enabled
Enables the function for: The menu item, button, or toolbar icon for this function is added to the user interface of the client.
Disabled
Disables the function. The menu item, button, or toolbar icon for this function is removed from the user interface of the client.
Enable All
Enables all the functions listed on the current pane.
Disable All
Disables all the functions listed on the current pane.
Inherited (Enabled)
This setting, which is available only when you open the Disable Functions window from the Administration Utility, indicates that the currently selected user or group (such as User1) inherits the setting of the group to which it belongs, and that this setting is enabled in the group. For example, if you are editing the profile of User1, and you set Add Sessions to Inherited (Enabled) for User1, this indicates that User1 inherits the Add Sessions setting of the group to which it belongs, and that currently the group to which it belongs has Add Sessions set to Enabled.

Inherited (Disabled)
This setting, which is available only when you open the Disable Functions window from the Administration Utility, indicates that the currently selected user or group inherits the setting of the group to which it belongs, and that this setting is disabled in the group.
Inherit All
The currently selected user or group inherits all its settings from the group to which it belongs.
