Disable Functions: FTP

The radio buttons on the FTP pane enable or disable file transfer functions for 3270 Display, 5250 Display, and VT Display sessions, when the File Transfer type in the session properties is set to FTP.

Functions:

Change Transfer Mode
Changes the transfer mode for the session. The transfer mode can be auto-detect, ASCII or Binary. Also changes the ASCII File Types for the session.
Change Session View
Changes the FTP session view. Valid choices are Stacked and Side by Side (the default).
Delete File/Directory
Deletes files or directories from the working directory.
Rename File/Directory
Renames files or directories from the working directory.
Make a Directory
Creates a directory in the working directory.
Quote Command
Sends an uninterpreted string of data to the FTP server. Quote Command appears on the Action menu in the FTP display session.
Codepage Converter
Allows conversion of local files from one codepage to another codepage.
Host Directory Listing
Displays unparsed server directory information, including all attributes, in a separate window.
Transfer List Manager
Enables or disables the state of Transfer List Manager in View menu.

Settings:

Enabled
Enables the function for: The menu item, button, or toolbar icon for this function is added to the user interface of the client.
Disabled
Disables the function. The menu item, button, or toolbar icon for this function is removed from the user interface of the client.
Enable All
Enables all the functions listed on the current pane.
Disable All
Disables all the functions listed on the current pane.
Inherited (Enabled)
This setting, which is available only when you open the Disable Functions window from the Administration Utility, indicates that the currently selected user or group (such as User1) inherits the setting of the group to which it belongs, and that this setting is enabled in the group. For example, if you are editing the profile of User1, and you set Add Sessions to Inherited (Enabled) for User1, this indicates that User1 inherits the Add Sessions setting of the group to which it belongs, and that currently the group to which it belongs has Add Sessions set to Enabled.

Inherited (Disabled)
This setting, which is available only when you open the Disable Functions window from the Administration Utility, indicates that the currently selected user or group inherits the setting of the group to which it belongs, and that this setting is disabled in the group.
Inherit All
The currently selected user or group inherits all its settings from the group to which it belongs.
