Cut/Copy tab
You can set your preferences to support the Cut/Copy functions. These functions work similarly
to the Cut/Copy functions in Z and I Emulator for Windows.
- Cut/Copy only if a trim-rectangle is marked
- Disables the Edit > Copy, Edit > Copy Append, Edit > Copy as Table, Edit > Field-bsaed copy and Edit > Cut functions until you draw a trim-rectangle or until you use
the keyboard to select a block of text. In other words, if you check this box, you must draw a
trim-rectangle in order to use the cut or copy functions.
If you leave the checkbox unchecked, the Edit > Copy, Edit > Copy Append, Edit > Copy as Table, Edit > Field-based Copy and Edit > Cut functions cut or copy the entire screen if no trim-rectangle is drawn, or the contents of a
trim-rectangle, if one is drawn.
Important:
The following JVM environments do not set the clipboard
correctly and may produce copy and paste results that are not accurate:
- Netscape JDK 1.1.5
- Netscape JDK 1.1.6
- Copy SO/SI as space
- Check this box if you need to copy shift-out (SO) and shift-in (SI) control character to space.
Note:If you check this box, the space that bracket DBCS string will be truncated when you
paste mixed text into ZIEWeb.
For example, paste the following mixed data into Z and I Emulator for Web:
ssss(space)D1D2D(space)ssss
If you leave the checkbox unchecked, you will get following result:
ssss(space)(SO)D1D2D(SI)(space)ssss
If you check the checkbox, you will get following result:
ssss(SO)D1D2D(SI)ssss
