Connect directly to any Telnet server
With Z and I Emulator for Web, the client applet contains the emulation functionality. With the emulator residing on the client, the middle-tier server, such as IBM Communications Server or a third-party SNA server, can be eliminated. Any performance and security issues introduced with this intermediary piece will also be removed. Once the applet is served to the client, it is easy to connect directly to any standard Telnet server that provides the best access to the required data. You can access many host sessions concurrently. By eliminating the need for a middle-tier server, Z and I Emulator for Web also minimizes capacity restrictions.
